About scopora
scopora helps businesses understand their software needs and find suitable independent developers through impartial requirements gathering and developer sourcing.
- 1Discuss your problems with the discovery assistant
- 2Review a 21-section specification that separates facts, assumptions and open questions
- 3Approve the exact version you're happy with
- 4Review any proposal received against that scope, then proceed, wait or seek alternatives
Independent
scopora is independent of every development agency. We don't build software ourselves, and no developer controls access to your project.
Honest about fit
Discovery starts with your problem, not with software. Where an existing product would do the job for less, we'll tell you — custom development has to be commercially justified.
Your approval first
Your specification is shared with developers only after you approve a specific version. Any developer then receives that same approved scope, so proposals are based on identical requirements.
You choose
Clients choose their preferred developer. Recommendations consider overall value — capability, experience, timeframe, communication, quality, support and security — rather than price alone, and never our fee.
How we're paid
The standard service has no upfront discovery fee and no subscription. When you accept a proposal and proceed with your selected developer, you pay scopora a one-off success fee of 15% of the agreed initial development value (excluding GST where applicable), separate from and additional to the developer's price and disclosed before you commit. No commission on future maintenance, hosting, support or unrelated work. GST treatment of our fee is subject to confirmation.
No delivery guarantee
scopora prepares requirements and helps you review any proposals received. You contract directly with the developer you choose, who is responsible for delivery; we don't guarantee any developer's quality or delivery.
Where we work
We work with businesses in New Zealand and Australia and source developers internationally.
Confidential development partners
scopora's development partners are independent companies — scopora doesn't own them or employ their people. Our first preferred partner, SC-DEV-001, describes its services as custom software, CRMs and ERPs, dashboards, client portals, AI systems and agents, workflow automation, document processing and API integrations.
To protect the independence of our developer marketplace, development partners are initially presented under confidential reference numbers. Their full business identity and relevant credentials are disclosed when you formally select a proposal and proceed to the developer agreement. Scopora's 15% success fee is disclosed separately before commitment.
Being preferred doesn't mean a partner suits every project. Your scope is shared only if you expressly approve it, projects outside a partner's services are flagged for other developers, and you remain free to choose anyone.
